Wall asks her supporters to pray for the Texas House and conservative legislators working to protect women
CENTERVILLE, TX — Today, Kathaleen Wall, Republican candidate for Texas House District 13, offered her support and prayers for Rep. Angelia Orr and Texas Republicans who are working to pass Senate Bill 8. Wall is a longtime supporter of measures like Senate Bill 8 and believes swift passage of this legislation is a necessary step in the right direction to protect Texas women and girls.
“Today, I am lifting up the Texas House in prayer as they consider Senate Bill 8,” said Wall. “I encourage all of my supporters and all of us who live in HD-13 to join me in praying for our conservative legislators, that they would stand strong to protect Texas women and ensure their privacy and safety. Senate Bill 8 is a commonsense measure that deserves our full support, and I am firmly in favor of its passage.”
Senate Bill 8, also known as the Texas Women’s Privacy Act, requires political subdivisions and state agencies to designate multiple-occupancy private spaces such as locker rooms, bathrooms, and women’s shelters for use based on biological sex. The bill also introduces civil penalties and other means of action for violations, ensuring accountability and enforcement of the law.
In her time as a private citizen supporting conservative causes, Kat Wall has been a champion of protecting traditional values and ensuring women have their own legally protected spaces:
- In December 2024, Kat was awarded the “Defender of the Family” award from the American Principles Project for her contributions in passing the Fair Play for Girls’ Sports in Texas, which sparked national conversations on the topic
- Kat was honored by America First Works at a prayer breakfast celebrating President Trump’s victory in November 2024 for her support of traditional values
- Kat was given the Houston Pastors Council’s “Esther Award” in 2022 for her conservative Christian women’s advocacy in Texas politics
- In 2021, Kat served as the Texas Legislative Policy Liaison for Concerned Women for America, an advocacy group that supports women’s right to private spaces, among other issues
As the representative for HD-13, Wall will continue to fight for traditional values and commonsense reforms that give Texas women the right to privacy and peace of mind.
