Tonight, the voters of House District 13 made their decision, and while this was not the outcome we hoped for, I respect the will of the people.
I want to sincerely thank every single person who supported this campaign: the volunteers who knocked doors, the families who opened their homes, the donors who invested in our vision, and the neighbors who offered encouragement and prayer along the way. This campaign was built on love for HD 13 and a desire to give back to the district that has given so much to my family and me.
We ran on real solutions to real problems for real people – safe communities, property tax elimination, energy independence, parental rights, strong infrastructure, defending the Second Amendment, and protecting Texas values. Those issues do not disappear tonight.
While the result is not what we worked for, I remain committed to this community and to standing for the principles that guided this campaign. Public service does not begin or end with one election.
Thank you for believing in this movement. The work of strengthening HD 13 continues – and I will help Angelia Orr improve rural any way I can. I will never stop fighting for our values.
God Bless HD 13 – and God Bless Texas.
